Reviews are in for Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III], which lands Thursday, October 8 on Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S ($74.99). It bundles Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind: basically the whole saga before Kingdom Hearts IV, minus Melody of Memory. Critics are split on one thing. On Switch 2 it’s a big deal, with native versions finally replacing the old cloud releases. On PS5 it’s mostly the PS4 collections again with a smoother KH3. OpenCritic has it at an 85 Top Critic Average (90% recommend, 20 reviews), and Metacritic’s Switch 2 page is at 89 from 13 reviews (Generally Favorable). The PS5 Metacritic number is lower so far, around 79 from just 6 reviews.
- NintendoWorldReport — 9.5/10 (Switch 2) — A great time for Nintendo fans to jump in; the series grows more confident as its own thing over time.

Read on TheGamer → - The Outerhaven — 4.5/5 (Switch 2) — Every game runs superbly on the hardware. “It is finally here!”
Read on The Outerhaven → - Loot Level Chill — 9/10 (Switch 2) — A wonderful bundle of everything Kingdom Hearts; “just perfection” on Switch 2.
Read on Loot Level Chill → - Twisted Voxel — 9/10 — Native versions at a mostly smooth 60fps, but shaky performance in KH3 and 0.2, few Switch 2-specific upgrades, and no Melody of Memory.
Read on Twisted Voxel → - Worth Playing — 8.5/10 (Switch 2) — A very good fix for games that suffered as cloud versions, and well worth owning unless you’ve already played them to death.
Read on Worth Playing → - Uagna — 8/10 — Seven games and three movies make it one of the biggest compilations ever, but there’s almost nothing new; best for die-hards and KH4 prep. (Italian)
Read on Uagna → - Push Square — 7/10 (PS5) — Great value for newcomers, but no major enhancements over the PS4 versions makes it a tough sell for veterans.
Read on Push Square → - COGconnected — 70/100 — A few duds in the bundle, but most of these games are worth playing.

The Lanbrew take: If you’re on Switch 2 or have never played Kingdom Hearts, this is the easy way to catch up before KH4. If you already own the PS4 collections, the reviews say there isn’t much new here beyond a steadier Kingdom Hearts III.
